Directions: The Park entrance is on Lebanon Road (US-42) between Reading and Kemper roads. Take I-275 Exit 46, then south on US-42. After the traffic signal at Kemper Road, turn left into the Park. After the admission booth, turn left into the Sharon Centre parking lot.

Topic: A Virtual Tour of the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum

John Jaszczak, an Ohio native, wears many hats: he is a mineral collector, an educator (Professor of Physics), and adjunct curator at the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum on the campus of the Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. He has agreed to speak to the Cincinnati Mineral Society while on a professional visit to Miami University; and that’s why our meeting is back to the second Friday from the traditional 3^rd in October. Please make note of that on your calendar. In my absence, John Rakovan will introduce our guest.

John Jaszczak will give us a virtual tour of the new museum building, discuss the history of the museum….which is now the official mineral museum of the state of Michigan, and will show us some of his favorite treasures from the collection. Many of the photographs will be those that he has taken; it seems that photography is yet another skill set among his diverse interests.
